| A magnificent water wheel can be seen to the left. Omiya is located on the left bank of Urui River in the Fuji River system. It was a commercial centre as an important crossroad in Koshu, with the Asama Shrine of Omiya in the centre. From the Anei years, it was a temporary support town for lodgings in Yoshiwara on the Tokaido. |
