| Five Japanese boats sit in the harbour, and they seem to be of the same shape. The picture numbered 6-27 (Japanese boat (1)) has a raised mast, but it is the same shape. These boats are the "kitamae" boats that were active from the mid-Edo era to the mid- Meiji era. |
